Dr. Cathy Ohlsen, DVM

UW Madison

Brook started at Rockwood Hospital for Pets in October of 2025. She lives in Merrill with her husband Aaron. She has a daughter, son, and 2 step-daughters. She co-owns a bridal gown shop in the area and has a beef cattle farm. She has a Labrador Retriever named Bear.​

Brittany started at Rockwood Hospital for Pets in 2019. She graduated from Northcentral Technical College with a degree in Veterinary Science in 2019. She passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam in 2022. She lives in Wausau with her husband Zack. They have a Labrador Retriever named Finn, a Chihuahua named Honey, and 2 cats named Birdie & Princess Donut.

Dr. Cathy graduated from UW Madison Veterinary School in 2007. She previously worked in Menasha before coming to Rockwood Hospital for Pets. She lives in Tomahawk with her pets. She has a German Shorthair Pointer named Remington, a Wirehair Pointer named Scout, and two cats Hammer & Sniper.

Lillie started at Rockwood Hospital for Pets in 2013 as a kennel assistant. She graduated from Northcentral Technical College with a degree in Veterinary Science in 2015 and passed her Veterinary Technician National Examination in 2017. She lives in Wausau with her fiance Steven and has a hobby farm with horses, goats, chickens, a llama, 3 cats named Cherokee, Mopar, & Hemi, 5 dogs named Nellie, Lane, Bobby, Tuff, & Maddie & a Yellow-Naped Amazon named Lucy.

Heidi graduated in 2001 from Madison Area Technical College. She began working at Rockwood Hospital for Pets right after graduation. She lives in Merrill with her husband Geoff and their three daughters. They have a Golden Retriever named Cooper, a Labrador Retriever named Duke & chickens.

Dr. Caitlin graduated from UW Madison Veterinary School in 2008. She worked in Eagle River before coming to Rockwood Hospital for Pets in 2012. She lives in Merrill with her husband Shane and two children. They have a Scottish Deerhound named Coin, two Chihuahuas named Bella & Buck, & a Mudi named Edith & one cat named Charlie.

​Amber started at Rockwood Hospital for Pets in 2021. She lives in Merrill with her fiance Casey. She has a Labrador Retriever named Bear and two cats named Lolo and Rune. She enjoys being outdoors with her dogs, going on hikes, & ice fishing.

Rockwood Hospital for Pets is a full-service veterinary small animal hospital including a pharmacy, surgery suite with state-of-the-art technology, on-site digital x-ray capabilities (including digital dental x-ray), ultrasound, and a supervised recovery area.

In addition to two licensed veterinarians, Rockwood Hospital for Pets maintains a staff of 4 highly trained Certified Veterinary Technicians and two veterinary assistants.

She passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam in November of 2025. She has a Golden Retriever named Koeden.
